Dogs are very loveable until they do something really annoying.  They are cute, adorable creatures that will love and protect their human owners with unconditional love.  In return, humans are responsible for their well-being.  A part of this responsibility involves training a dog so that it does not exhibits bad behavior.

However, dogs will be dogs. They always get themselves into situations where they behave badly.  Is it their fault? No.  It is up to their owner to ensure that they have been trained properly.  Without this necessary training, badly behaved dogs are a nuisance that most people don't want to tolerate.  But with the right training, dogs can be the loveable pets that most families want to own.

Listed below, we will discuss some of the annoying things that dogs like to do.  If your dog is guilty of any of these bad behaviors, have faith.  You might be able to make him a loveable dog after all.

Biting

Usually, small puppies are guiltier of this than larger dogs; however, larger dogs like to bit too.  This is a habit that is frustrating for most dog owners and especially annoying to friends and family that visit them. When your puppy bites you, let him know that you don't like it.  Use a stern face of distaste.  In addition, introduce him to a chew toy.  Pet stores have so many different styles to choose from.  Find different types and styles so that your little puppy won't get bored with the same one.  If he continues to bite you, refuse to play with him.  Dogs are friendly and love to play with their owners.  Hopefully, this will deter your puppy from biting.

A different strategy is used when a larger dog bites you. You have to be more firm with an older dog.  Let him know that you are not very happy with his behavior by using a very firm voice.  You might even want to consider creating a voice demand for this purpose.  If the dog continues to bite, put some distance between you and the other dog.  Put him in another room that is away from you.  Because dogs like to interact with their owners, this will be punishment enough for your dog.

Chewing

You should use the same strategy with chewing that you would use with biting.  However, there is a slight twist.  Yes, you must use chew toys and separation tactics if the chewing continues, but this an extra step.  In addition, you should find a bitter tasting liquid that you can put on the different items that your dog likes to chew.  Start with his toys.  Hopefully, the horrible taste will stop him from this annoying habit before he moves on to more important things...like your belongings.

Chasing Cars

This problem is simple.  You own the dog, right?  Why is the dog allowed to chase cars?  Put the dog on a leash or put him in a restricted area. You can control this.  It's just that simple.

All in all, bad dog behavior is frustrating for you and annoying to your family and friends.  Although it may take time, you can change these behaviors.  You may be able to totally eliminate them. Hopefully, these tips will help.
