Let’s Take a Look at Newfoundlands
60Beware: Newfoundland Nana on Guard!
OK, trivia time here. Who can name the famous Newfoundland dog in the Darling Family of the in Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie? Tick - tock, tick-tock...
Give up?
Of course, it's Nana the Newfoundland. You may recall it was Nana that howled to try and alert the children's parents that their little Darlings were flying away.
Notable also is that Mr. Darling, who had ignored Nana's howl, was so regretful of this issue and that it resulted in his children's absence, that he slept out in Nana's kennel until the little urchins, uhmmm...Darlings, returned back home safe and sound.
OK, on with the rest of the story...about Newfoundlands J Because seriously, if you would like a dog that is truly devoted to the safety of your children, check into getting a Newfoundland, as they do excel at rescuing young people and are beautiful, gentle-natured pets.
