Popular Ways to Promote Your Dog Blog Online
By esocial
In another hub we discussed creating a dog blog that mentions your pet products, pet services or other pet ads in order to make some extra bucks part time or full time. Now it’s time to discuss popular ways to promote it. So let’s start with online, then check out some offline activities in another hub.
Online Methods
1) EBay is a popular means for selling your wares. Here millions of shoppers already have accounts hooked up with credit cards or bank accounts, and are ready to buy – now. Sell your dog blankets and throws right from eBay. Sell your pet tales there, too. Note, though, that you cannot sell digital products there now as downloads, so burn any ebooks, videos or other digital items on CDs and DVDs to sell them, or print out your text products (books, reports, etc.). You can load your files into online ecommerce sites like Lulu.com and CafePress.com, or simply shop right there at eBay for software that burns files onto CDs and DVDs right at your home. When you mail them, include a flyer with your website info and other products and services listed.
2) Affiliate Programs are hot. So set one up for yourself at Paydotcom.com or Clickbank.com (or both places!) and recruit a sales team. You could announce your program right on your own website or blog. Plus add a link in your email signature readers where to click to learn more about how to earn money by being your affiliate. Write articles about this, too, and submit them to online article directories so that other pet lovers can learn more and click on the link you add to your author resource box at the bottom of your articles.
3) Add graphics to your line up using a digital camera. Add photos of your dog travel accessories to your website, for example. Also upload your pet photos to CafePress.com where you can sell t-shirts, coffee mugs, magnets, stickers and all types of other photo products. Head to Amazon.com and eBay and find affordable graphics software, too, and create pet graphics to add to your promotional materials: make headers for your webpages, make pet Buy Now buttons for ordering pages, add pet images to your CD and DVD covers and more.
4) Get help! Head to popular sites for outsourcing help like the WarriorForum where internet marketers hang out, and Elance, a freelance bidding site. Post info about your project work and see about hiring experienced marketers, writers, graphic artists, bloggers, website developers and others to help you start and grow your business.
5) Continue your education, too. Keep on learning about your pet niche interests and hone your business skills with online courses like at Virtual University, workshops, teleseminars and articles / Hubs, etc . You’ll always want to be working on product development and marketing for various stages of your business. So network with fellow business people to keep up with the latest scoop: to find out which products sell best, in which formats, and via which marketing methods.
