We all use cars so much these days and often live in towns and cities where you will want to escape into the country some days. If you are going on a long journey then ensure you stop regularly for water and toilet breaks and to allow your dog to stretch his legs.

The more enjoyable you make the journey the more relaxed your dog will be, and this will make the whole car journey a pleasure. Ensure that you reward your dog once the car has stopped, dogs react very well to rewards. This is often the best way to train a dog as they remember the treat and will behave well in the future. A good journey with your dog will mean that you will take them out more, and the more often you take them in the car the less excited they will be. The journeys will just become part of everyday life and your dog will be excellent every time.
